بررسی تاثیرمداخله آموزشی برمیزان آگاهی و نگرش دانشجویان دندانپزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی رفسنجان دررابطه با احتیاط ها ی استاندارد جهت پیشگیری از بیماریهای منتقله از راه خون

Abstract:

Introduction: Increasing student's knowledge and attitude about HIV, HBV and HCV appear important and essential to prevention of such diseases. The aim of present study was survey of educational intervention on knowledge and attitude of dental students of Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences toward standard precautions for prevention of blood born diseases. Materials and Methods: This study was a controlled clinical trial and involved four phases. In first stage, 60 students of Dental School of Rafsanjan University of Medical Sciences were selected randomly. Data was collected by a questionnaire, and then students were divided into intervention and control groups. In second stage, educational intervention was performed for intervention group. In third and fourth steps, immediately and three months after intervention the questionnaire was given, in both groups. Data collected and were analyzed using independent t-test, repeated measure and Pearson correlation coefficients p< 0.05 was considered as a significant difference. Results: The average age of students was 22.13±1.722 years and 66.66% of them were female and 33.33% male. This study showed score of student's knowledge and attitude in both groups had no significant diference before intervention (attitude: P=0.622, knowledge: P= 0.202) but had significant difference with each other, immediately and three months after intervention (P<0.0001). Knowledge and attitude's score didn't correlate with age and gender (P=0.065). Conclusion: Our study showed that training toward standard precautions for prevention of blood born diseases, can enhance student's knowledge and attitude.
